Literary Hall is a brick library and museum built in 1869-70 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Davis History House
Romney, WV
The Davis House, built in 1798, is Romney's only log house still standing on its original lot. Its history is strongly intertwined with the Civil War, having served as a meeting place and message drop for Confederates. The house remained in the Davis family until 1984, when it was donated to the Library. Visitors can arrange tours through the Hampshire County Public Library.
