About Davis History House
The Davis House, built in 1798, is Romney's only log house still standing on its original lot. Its history is strongly intertwined with the Civil War, having served as a meeting place and message drop for Confederates. The house remained in the Davis family until 1984, when it was donated to the Library. Visitors can arrange tours through the Hampshire County Public Library.
