Honor Pantry

What it is

Honor Pantry is consumables in the home—snacks, beverages, supplies—offered to guests on the property guest surface (for example via QR entry to the guest gateway at /g/{astro_id}). Guests pay for what they use through ASTRO-mediated program checkout, not informal off-books payment.

Why it exists in the network

It is hospitality infrastructure: small, honest revenue on inventory the owner already chose to make available—without turning the stay into a retail marketplace or affecting Owners Exchange discovery.

How it works

Items are presented on the guest surface; payment is captured as program commerce on the Direct Payment Rail. Travelcoin is not the medium for these purchases. Accounting and reversals follow program-order rules, separate from stay settlement.

What unlocks it

The feature exists in the **Property Guest Surface** model: owners enable Pantry offerings only under **trust and verification rules** that protect guests from spam or unverified claims. Exact stage checks follow implementation of the guest surface and owner configuration spec.
