The New Britain Industrial Museum collects, preserves, and exhibits items representing over 200 years of local innovation and invention. Its collection ranges from 19th century hooks and eyes to 21st century ERA Cobra Cars. The museum highlights New Britain's significant industrial impact, noting that for most of the 20th century, every American likely encountered a product made there, containing a part from there, or made on a New Britain machine.
