About Madeline Island Heritage Center
The Madeline Island Heritage Center showcases five historical island buildings relocated to create a site exploring island life from the mid-19th to early 20th century. Originally founded to preserve the Lake View School, a one-room log schoolhouse built in 1905, the Heritage Center displays photographs and artifact collections reflecting the island's past through restored buildings and period furnishings.
