About Augusta County Historical Society
The Augusta County Historical Society presents art exhibits that blend art with history. Its current exhibit, “Artists Everywhere: Dwight ‘Joe’ Bell and Valley Artists,” features unique art from the area. Visitors can see hand-carved whirligigs and colored pencil drawings by Joe Bell. The exhibit also includes works by other Valley artists such as Grandma Moses, known for primitive folk art paintings, and Willy Ferguson, recognized for giant steel sculptures.
