About Conneaut Railroad Museum
The Conneaut Railroad Museum is headquartered in a station building originally built for the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern in 1900. Its exhibits emphasize locomotives, equipment, shop facilities, and the people who made Conneaut a significant part of railroad history. A signature display is Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 No. 755, which was one of the last locomotives to receive major repairs prior to the town’s backshops closing in 1958.
