About Railroad Museum of Long Island
The Railroad Museum of Long Island preserves and celebrates Long Island Railroad history across two locations. It features twenty rail cars and locomotives, exhibits of railroading artifacts, and interactive displays. Visitors can ride the restored G-16 park train from the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair and explore a hands-on train yard. The museum also showcases a gigantic historic Lionel train layout with twelve operating tracks and hundreds of trains.
