About Powerhouse Museum
The Fort Peck Power Plant Museum is located in the lobby of Power Plant #1. It recalls the history of the construction of the Fort Peck Dam, the world's largest hydraulically filled earth dam. Visitors can see a display of fossils collected from the area, including a Triceratops skull. The museum highlights the dam's role as the nation's largest public works project in 1933.
