About Howard Steamboat Museum
The Howard Steamboat Museum is dedicated to the history of the famous Howard steamboat building family of Jeffersonville, IN. Housed in an 1894-built, 22-room Richardsonian Romanesque mansion, visitors can tour the home and see original furnishings, stained glass windows, and intricate carvings. The museum's collection features models, photographs, paintings, and artifacts related to Howard-built steamboats such as the J.M. White and City of Louisville.
