About Ames History Museum
The Ames History Museum features the “We the People of Ames” exhibit, which highlights local stories with national impact. Visitors can explore artifacts from the Civil War, U.S. Bicentennial celebration, and presidential visits to Ames. The exhibit also allows guests to view military uniforms through time and learn about Ames' contributions to American history, from service members to Olympians.
