About Camp Gordon Johnston Museum
The Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum in Carrabelle, Florida, honors the men and women who trained at the camp during WWII. The camp opened in 1942 to train Infantry Divisions and U. S. Army Engineer Special Brigades in amphibious operations, training a quarter of a million men. Visitors can learn about their dedication and heroism through an extensive history of units, photographic displays, and artifacts like uniforms and equipment. A recently completed expansion added exhibit space and expanded collections.
