About Charles Paddock Zoo
The Central Coast Zoo, formerly Charles Paddock Zoo, is located in Atascadero, California, within a wooded Lake Park. It is home to about a hundred species of animals from around the world and is the only AZA-accredited zoo on the Central Coast. Visitors can observe animals, relax in the park, and enjoy play equipment, lawns, walking pathways, and a lake with paddleboats. The zoo participates in global conservation programs.
