Visitors can explore the historic depot, which once served as a shipping site for fresh vegetables, and view railroad artifacts in the station agent's office. The museum grounds also feature a Union Pacific 1975 CA-10 Caboose. It also serves as the Gateway to the Gorge Visitor Center.

The Ackland Art Museum is a museum and academic unit of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Columbia Street near the intersection of Franklin Street at the northern edge of campus. It is free of charge to visitors and offers a wide selection of events related to exhibition, community, and university topics.

Grover Cleveland Golf Course is a 5,621-yard par 69 course in the City of Buffalo. It was the Country Club of Buffalo from 1902-1925 and hosted the 1912 Open Championship. The course was redesigned by Donald Ross and is noted for its difficult green complexes. It is the only public golf facility in North America designed by two famous early 20th-century golf architects.

Indian Run Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course with a strategic design and a good blend of holes. It features reachable Par 5s, a variety of par 4s, and testing par 3s.
