About Old Stone House Museum
The Old Stone House Museum is the oldest landmark in Ritchie County, with construction beginning in 1810 as an ordinary and inn for travelers. The Ritchie County Historical Society converted it into an "Evolution Style" museum in 1977. It features artifacts and memorabilia from many periods of the county's history. A regional genealogy and history library is also available within the museum.
