About Thomas A. Greene Geological Museum
The Thomas A. Greene Geological Museum showcases a collection of approximately 65,000 fossils and minerals, amassed by naturalist Thomas Arnold Greene. Visitors can view invertebrate fossils from the Silurian Niagara and Devonian Hamilton Formations, including specimens from the globally significant Schoonmaker Reef. The museum also features rare minerals from across the globe and half of the Washington County meteorite, the largest to strike Wisconsin. This collection is housed in the Greene Gallery within Lapham Hall at UWM.
