Old Fire Station No. 1 was constructed in 1926 to serve as the City of Bellingham’s fire hall. It stands adjacent to the 1892 Old City Hall Building. Today, the second floor of the station houses the Whatcom Museum’s Photo Archives, which are available to the public for research by appointment.
