The U.S. Army Transportation Museum houses a collection of nearly 7,000 artifacts and 1,000 exhibit props. Its collection features almost 100 macro artifacts, including planes, helicopters, tugboats, landing craft, trucks, jeeps, hovercraft, and trains. Visitors can see unique items like the only surviving gun truck from the Vietnam War and the first helicopter to fly at the South Pole. The museum also includes a large aircraft pavilion displaying nearly twenty historic aircraft.
