About Phoenix Saloon
The Phoenix Saloon, built in 1871, originally featured a saloon with a beer garden and back room cafe. Proprietor William Gebhardt served a special chili powder mixture that is considered the first commercial chili powder. The building has housed various businesses including a masonic lodge and clothing store before returning to its saloon origins in 2010.
