About New Braunfels Woolen Mill Comal Steam Laundry
Built in 1868 as a woolen mill, this historic building was converted to the Comal Steam Laundry in 1901, becoming the first laundry in New Braunfels. It utilized Comal River water for steam power to operate the facility. The building served the community until closing in 1934, though portions of the original structure remain today.
