About Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures
The Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures & Education Center, founded in the 1960s by Billie Trimble Chandler, celebrates and preserves Asian cultures. Located in Corpus Christi, it houses the world's largest display of Hakata Dolls, a 17th-century bronze Buddha statue, and works by armless artist Oishi Junkyo. Visitors can explore a rotating display area and participate in educational programs with hands-on activities like origami and calligraphy.
