About Heyward House Historic Center
The Heyward House is a House Museum in Bluffton, built in 1841 by enslaved West Africans. Visitors can tour the museum and find maps and brochures for local businesses. It offers a taste of Bluffton's culture and history. The Historic Bluffton Foundation, a non-profit, owns and operates the museum, dedicated to preserving the town's heritage.
