The Biomes Marine Biology Center is New England's only private marine education facility and the most hands-on aquarium in the region. It has provided interactive marine biology programs since 1989. Visitors can explore over 100 exhibits, including 10 touch tanks with animals from small shrimp to sharks. The center specializes in teaching about marine animals of Narragansett Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, featuring some rare coastal species.
