About Frick Art and Historical Center
The Frick Art Museum, an Italian Renaissance-style building designed by Pratt, Schafer & Slowik, opened in 1970 to house Helen Clay Frick’s collection. This collection features fine and decorative arts, including paintings, sculpture, and porcelains, with strengths in French 18th-century and early Italian Renaissance painting. Notable works include a portrait by Rubens, a pastoral scene by Boucher, and Italian panel paintings by Giovanni di Paolo and Sassetta.
