About Seaside Aquarium
Seaside Aquarium, founded in 1937, is the oldest privately owned aquarium on the West Coast. Descendants of the founders remain active in its operation. Visitors can feed the seals and observe various marine life, including starfish, eels, crabs, octopuses, and stingrays. The building originally opened in 1924 as a salt water bath house before becoming an aquarium.
