The Historic Mattie Beal Home is a 14-room, 2-story residence built between 1907 and 1910 by Charles Warren and Mattie Beal Payne. Originally designed in Neoclassical Greek Revival style, it was renovated in 1923 to its current Art Deco style. The Lawton Heritage Association acquired the home in 1974, saving it from demolition, and later sponsored a renovation from 2003 to 2005.
