About Merry-Go-Round Museum
The Merry-Go-Round Museum in Sandusky, Ohio, is a tribute to the artistry and history of carousels. Established in 1990, it is housed in the historic former Sandusky Post Office, a building on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can see exhibits showcasing hand-carved figures, vintage band organs, and rare artifacts, including fully restored pieces and works in progress. The museum also has a Restoration Workshop where volunteers restore carousel animals.
