About Rose Hill Museum
Rose Hill Museum, formerly the 1818 homestead of Joseph and Lydia Cahoon, is located in Bay Village. The home was constructed using lumber from surrounding forests, likely milled from trees on the present-day Cahoon Memorial Park property. The Cahoon family, who settled in 1810, also built the first gristmill west of the Cuyahoga River, a sawmill, and a fishery. Visitors can see a replica cabin on the property.
