About Custom House
The Custom House in Sag Harbor was acquired by Henry Packer Dering, a United States Customs Collector, in the early 1790s. Originally located elsewhere, the house was moved in 1948 to prevent its demolition. Today, the museum is interpreted to reflect the daily activities and work of Dering, his wife, and their nine children.
