About New York City Fire Museum
The New York City Fire Museum, established in 1870, houses one of the nation’s most prominent collections of fire-related art, artifacts, gear, and apparatus from the late 18th century to the present. It features 11 galleries and over 30,000 objects. The museum also operates a world-class fire safety education tour and produces several special themed exhibitions throughout the year.
