About USS Albacore
Albacore Park is a National Historic Landmark site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, featuring a maritime museum, gift shop, and memorial garden. Visitors can take self-guided tours of the historic research submarine USS Albacore (AGSS-569). This pioneering vessel was recognized during much of the 20th century as the world’s fastest and most technologically influential submarine. Inside, guests can explore the control room, engineering spaces, and bunk rooms, look through the periscope, and hear recordings by former crew members.
