About John Paul Jones House
The John Paul Jones Historic House Museum, a registered national historic landmark built in 1758, has been operated by the Portsmouth Historical Society as a museum since 1920. The house is believed to have hosted naval hero John Paul Jones in 1777. Visitors can explore current exhibitions including Revolutionary Portsmouth, An Uncommon Commitment to Peace: Portsmouth Peace Treaty 1905, and Diplomats in Portsmouth, 1713-1905.
