About Eureka School Museum
The Historic Eureka School serves as a focal point of history and heritage for African Americans in the Hattiesburg community. It opened in 1921 as one of only two brick high schools for African Americans in the state. The school was constructed on the site of Hattiesburg's first school for African Americans. Group tours of Sixth Street Museum attractions are available.
