About Louisiana History Museum
The Louisiana History Museum in downtown Alexandria collects, presents, interprets, and promotes understanding of the history of Alexandria and all of Louisiana. It maintains one of the state's foremost collections of historical objects, including a vintage postcard collection. Visitors can see various exhibits and arrange personal or group tours. The handicap accessible museum building originally served as the Alexandria Public Library starting in 1907.
