About Anita Purves Nature Center
The Anita Purves Nature Center, opened in 1979, offers environmental programs and features the hands-on Field Station exhibit hall with biofacts and live animals. Visitors can observe wildlife from a quiet indoor room, explore Habitat Gardens, and walk a 1/3-mile Boardwalk Trail through Busey Woods. The center is located near the Friendship Grove Nature Playscape.
