About Chatham Railroad Museum
The Chatham Railroad Museum is housed in a restored 1887 railroad depot, built in the Railroad Gothic style. It features hundreds of exhibits, including New York Central model locomotives from the 1939 New York World’s Fair and a diorama of the 1915 yard layout. Visitors can explore a 1910 restored wood caboose, and children can use a Morse code simulator, typewriter, and rotary phones in the ticket office. The museum also offers a free Chatham to Boston railroad ticket.
