About Idaho Military History Museum
The Idaho Military History Museum opened in 1995 to preserve, display, and interpret military history and artifacts tied to Idaho. Visitors can see photos and artifacts covering military history from the Philippine Insurrection through Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom, including Gowen Field during World War II. Exhibits feature small arms, unit guidons, the Idaho Air and Army National Guard, Mountain Home Air Force Base, the US Marines, and the US Navy. An outdoor compound displays a collection of armored vehicles.
