It tells the story of life on Hawaii's sugar plantations from 1850-1950, showcasing the cultures of Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, Okinawan, Portuguese, and Puerto Rican immigrants. Visitors can explore over 25 authentic plantation homes and structures, including a store, infirmary, and manager's office, featuring personal artifacts and art. The village also features unusual plants brought by immigrants, offering fruit samples during tours.
