About Saint Lucie County Aquarium
The St. Lucie County Aquarium features the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit, dedicated to educating about Florida’s marine environments. Visitors can explore living models of six different Florida marine and estuarine ecosystems, including a large Caribbean coral reef, seagrass, and mangrove habitats. The 5,000-square-foot facility also offers smaller aquarium displays, microscope displays, and a touch tank with local marine life. Opened in 2000, its exhibits reflect habitats found in the Indian River Lagoon and surrounding coastal waters.
