About Groton Monument House Museum
The Monument House Museum, built in 1830, originally served as the monument caretaker’s house. The Daughters of the American Revolution began meeting there in 1894, later adding the Memorial Annex in 1906 for their growing collection. The museum displays artifacts from the Battle of Groton Heights and other periods of Groton’s history. Visitors can see a Revolutionary War exhibit, a model of Fort Griswold, and the "Attention Universe" stained glass window.
