About Western Museum of Mining & Industry
The Western Museum of Mining and Industry, open since 1970, preserves and interprets the mining history of Colorado and the American West. Its 27-acre campus features a 12,200 square foot exhibit hall with working machinery, a model mining drift, and gold panning stations. Visitors can see historic machinery in action and tour the historic Reynolds House, a mid-1890s Queen Anne-style Victorian farmhouse on the Colorado Register of Historic Properties.
