About Cherry Hills Country Club
Cherry Hills Country Club, founded in 1922 on 272 acres south of Denver, features one of America’s most historic golf courses, designed by William Flynn. This course hosted the 1938 U.S. Open, the first west of the Mississippi, and has since held 14 national championships, including the 2023 U.S. Amateur. It is notable as the site of Arnold Palmer's 1960 U.S. Open win and is one of only two courses where both Palmer and Jack Nicklaus won a major championship.
