About Chinese American Historical Museum
The Chinese American Historical Museum, also known as the Ng Shing Gung Museum, is located in History Park, San Jose. It features exhibits depicting the history and culture of Chinese and Chinese Americans in the Santa Clara Valley. Visitors can see the original 1888 gilded altar, statues of the five gods, and watch the video Home Base: A Chinatown Called Heinlenville. The Ng Shing Gung building was replicated and dedicated to the community in 1991.
