About Griffith Observatory
Griffith Observatory is southern California’s gateway to the cosmos, located on the south slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. Visitors can look through telescopes, explore 60 exhibits, and see live shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium. The planetarium offers presentations about the universe and microscopic building blocks of life. The observatory also provides spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Sign.
