About Homesteader Museum
The Homesteader Museum is a nonprofit museum in Powell, WY, dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of homesteading life in the Big Horn Basin. Visitors can gain insight into the rugged life of early pioneers through its collection of artifacts, historic buildings, oral histories, and photographs. The Big Horn Basin was home to the Shoshone Reclamation Project of 1904, an early Bureau of Reclamation project.
