About Washington House
The Washington House Museum & Visitor Center is an 1850s former inn that serves as the Two Rivers Visitor Center. Visitors can learn about Two Rivers history and tour its historic ballroom, which features rare murals. The old-time non-alcoholic saloon houses Berners’ Ice Cream Parlor, commemorating the invention of the ice cream sundae in 1881. Guests can also explore five museum rooms.
