About New Market Battlefield Military Museum & Wharton Advance Trail
The New Market Battlefield Visitor Center & Museum is located on Manor's Hill, adjacent to Historic Old River Road, a site pivotal during the Battle of New Market. It features the John M. Bracken Collection, Westmoreland Club Collection, and B. Randolph Wellford Gallery. Visitors can explore Manor's Hill, Old River Road, and trek the 1.2-mile Wharton Advance Trail, which leads to the Virginia Monument. Fifteen markers and interpretive tables provide details about the battle.
