About Amherst County Historical Museum
Founded in 1976, the Amherst County Museum and Historical Society collects and preserves objects related to the history and genealogy of Amherst County. Visitors can explore museum exhibits, including a "Century of War" military exhibit and a permanent display on "The Monacan People." A research library is also available by prearranged appointment.
