About The Helper Museum
The Helper Museum exhibits Carbon County’s coal mining past and the railroad, showcasing life in Helper throughout the last century. Visitors can descend to a mock-up coal mine, jail, and smithy on the lower level. Upstairs, themed rooms include a Company Store, schoolroom, Veterans Honor Hall, miniature locomotives, dinosaur fossils, and footprints. An outdoor exhibit displays coal mining equipment.
