About Old Jail Museum
The Old Jail Museum building, completed in March of 1889, was the second jail for Red River County. Major S. B. Haggart and Mr. Sanguinett of Fort Worth served as architects. The Pauley Jail Building and Manufacturing Company of St. Louis provided the jail cells and other iron work. The Red River County Historical Society owns the building and uses it as a museum.
